Book Review–The Key to Love by Betsy St. Amant
Well, you had me at “Macarons” and “Petit Fours” I thought, when I was asked if I wanted to read and review this book. 🙂
What can I say, I am a dessert lover, whether it’s baking them or eating them, I like all kinds of sweets and since I worked in a bakery for 5 years as a Cake Decorator I guess decorating them would also be a favorite thing of mine to do.
I also enjoy visiting bakeries, especially small quaint hometown ones, so this book very much appealed to me and was fun to read. Plus, it was about Love Locks which I also have an affinity for, so I would say based on my opinion this book would be a very enjoyable book to read for anyone like me who loves bakeries, French pastries, Love Locks, and romance. Plus, it has a beautiful cover. 🙂
This romantic story has a few twists and surprises weaved into it that keep the reader wondering until the end how it will all play out. There is not a lot of drama, but it is quite emotional in places and there is also some humor added to lighten some of the heavier scenes. All in all I think this is a delightful contemporary romance that is easy to read and will have you craving Macarons, Petit Fours and Paris before you are finished. 🙂
This book was sent to me free by Revell Books, a division of Baker Publishing Group, in exchange for an honest review. All comments are my own.
